Our Founder

Chris Haas, the founder of Freedom 5:one Ministries, came to faith during his senior year at the University of Arkansas, where he also earned a degree in Finance. After a summer training program with Student Mobilization, he joined their staff and spent 10 years ministering to college students. Feeling called to pastoral ministry, Chris pursued and completed a degree at Dallas Theological Seminary. Upon graduation, however, the Lord redirected him—prompting Chris to return to his finance background and begin helping families with personal finances.

Chris’s journey uniquely prepared him for a ministry that combines his heart for families, finance, discipleship, and evangelism. In 2010, he followed God’s leading to establish Freedom 5:one Ministries, with a mission to strengthen the financial health of God’s people. Since then, thousands of families have been coached and equipped through life-changing financial education rooted in biblical truth.

Freedom 5:one draws its inspiration from Galatians 5:1:

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

Our Vision

Transforming the financial destiny of families to help fulfill the Great Commission.

Our Mission

Set God’s people free from bondage to freedom by investing in the financial health of families in NWA and around the world!

Our Definition of Financial Health

  • Written Spending Plan – Client has and is implementing a written spending plan.
  • Giving – Client is growing in generosity, specifically in Kingdom and community-based giving.
  • Savings – Client is saving toward retirement, building emergency reserves, and setting aside funds for anticipated expenses.
  • Debt Elimination – Client is learning to live within their means and working toward eliminating all debt.
  • Protection – Client is identifying and securing the insurance coverage needed to properly protect their assets.
  • Stewardship Mindset – Client recognizes that God owns it all (Psalm 24) and understands their role as a manager of the Lord’s resources rather than an owner of their own.

“The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it.” — Psalm 24:1

We Exist to Coach Families

AmadonsMINI-1

“For the first several years of our marriage, we felt like there were ways to improve on our money management, but were unsure how to do so. Through working with Freedom 5:one, and our coach, we have gained a true financial mentor and accountability partner. Our coach took the time to get to know us personally, what types of things we prioritize, evaluate our spending habits, and then worked to create a healthy budget. We put a financial structure in place that ultimately gave us more freedom in how we spend our money. We also learned how competing financial goals can be achieved with the right planning.

Now, we approach our financial life more prayerfully and more confidently. One of our main goals when we first met with Freedom 5:one was to save for our first house. This past week, we closed on a house! We would absolutely recommend Freedom 5:one to people in all stages of life. Having a financial plan and financial accountability partner is one of the greatest things you can do for yourself.”

We Exist to Resource Families

Have you ever read a book, heard a talk, or watched a video that shifted the way you think and live? At Freedom 5:one, we believe resources like that can spark real change—especially for families seeking financial health. To us, financial health means more than balancing a budget; it’s about aligning how we manage money with our family values and with the Lord. That’s why we are committed to developing practical, biblically grounded resources—books, blogs, Bible studies, videos, and more—that guide people toward wise money management and lasting freedom.

We Exist to Educate Families

We believe that while not everything in life is worth knowing, the essentials of money management are. True success means gaining the right knowledge in the key areas that matter most. At Freedom 5:one, we consistently return to six foundational concepts that shape financial health, and we’ve developed a series of seminars to help families put these basics into practice.

Our seminars cover:

  • Building and living out a spending plan (budget)
  • Setting and achieving generosity goals
  • Developing and reaching saving goals
  • Managing and eliminating debt
  • Understanding insurance and protection needs to safeguard assets
  • Embracing biblical stewardship—recognizing that God owns it all and we are entrusted to manage His resources

Our Divisions

Though each division has a unique focus, all are united by the same goal: helping people experience health and freedom through building good financial habits. Sometimes this means equipping families to better participate in the Great Commission, and other times it simply means loving and serving our neighbor well.

  • Church Partnerships – Serves the body of Christ by promoting biblical financial health through coaching, classes, and resources.
  • International Division – Equips global workers and raises up financial coaches to advance the Great Commission through financial health.
  • Extra Mile – Provides financial coaching and support to the working poor.
  • Hispanic Outreach – Offers financial seminars and coaching to Hispanic communities locally and globally.
  • Community Division – Partners with nonprofits and businesses to provide financial wellness workshops, seminars, and coaching programs.

Made Possible by Generosity
